DOCUMENTARY YORKSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER COVERING THE UK & EUROPE

STRESS-FREE & FUN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY & content creator!

Hey, Iโ€™m Phil! Iโ€™m a Yorkshire wedding photographer with over 20 yearsโ€™ experience and more than 500 weddings behind me. My style is relaxed, natural and documentary-led โ€” perfect if youโ€™d rather spend your day sipping champagne, laughing with guests, and dancing like nobodyโ€™s watching instead of posing stiffly for the camera.

Home is near beautiful Sherwood Forest - life is a mix of family, caffeine and chaos! My six-year-old son Albert keeps me humble by correcting my Minecraft mistakes, while our ADHD Border Collie and teddy-bear-bully Barnaby ensure the house is never quiet. Add a slight addiction to double chocolate mochas and the occasional medicinal Honey Bourbon, and youโ€™ve got the picture!

Your wedding photos should feel alive โ€” full of atmosphere, people and moments youโ€™ll never forget. If youโ€™re after stylish, authentic images and a calm presence behind the camera, youโ€™ve probably just found your photographer.

Short Clips, Real Moments

If you love the thought of video but donโ€™t need the whole production, my Video Content Creation is perfect for you!

Itโ€™s included in ALL of my packages as a no cost extra!

All through your wedding day, Iโ€™ll capture short, natural clips alongside your photographyโ€”little bursts of laughter, hugs, and those blink-and-youโ€™ll-miss-them moments that bring everything to life!

Theyโ€™re brilliant for sharing with family and friends, posting on socials, or just reliving those โ€œthat was usโ€ feelings whenever you like. Think of it as a modern extra to your wedding collectionโ€”simple, natural, and full of heart.

cinematic Yorkshire wedding photographer

The very first wedding day that I photographed was back in 2004. My vision was to record the day how Iโ€™d like to be photographed; unobtrusively and with as little posing as possible.

The same ethos still holds today.

My aim is always to capture those unscripted, relaxed moments. The extraordinary moments. The fleeting once-in-a-lifetime moments and those imperfect moments that make a wedding so unique. I want to create a legacy for you and your family for generations to come.

With a cinematic style of wedding photography in Yorkshire and throughout the UK, you deserve to have a wedding photographer who will fit in around you - unposed and natural.

I will strive to document your day discreetly and create a series of beautiful relaxed photos for you both. Thereโ€™ll be no โ€˜say cheeseโ€™ or โ€˜will all groomsman walk slowly to the cameraโ€™, your wedding photography will be authentic, original, fun, and beautifully captured.

When it comes to your first portraits as a married couple, I want to make sure you feel relaxed and in control of the process. That's why I only give very minimal direction, such as suggesting where to stand for the best light. Iโ€™ll take 20 minutes of your day, as the sunsets. Your guests will be mingling, having a glass of champagne or three, and youโ€™ll be back with them before they even know youโ€™ve been gone!

I take a photojournalistic approach to my wedding photography. I capture the story in a documentary style, telling the relationships and moments as I see them through my camera.
